It seemed like there was no program or facility that offered good treatment that I could also afford. The Cottages of the Palm Beaches helped me in ways that are difficult to describe. Life is good again!

The Cottages of the Palm Beaches has changed my life and put me on the road to living a healthy and
sober life!
We live in NYC and wanted our son to go to rehab but thought we couldn't afford it. We also wanted him not to go locally here in the city because he needs to get away from his environment and the bad crowd that he is friends with here at home. Our son lives with us and was attending community college until he dropped out this past semester because he was too busy partying with his friends to care at all about his studies.
We searched on Google for a addiction care options site and asked them to refer us to a affordable low cost rehab somewhere in Florida. We thought that Florida was far enough away to kept him out of the normal sphere of influence of his buddies. The addiction care referral website recommended The Cottages of the Palm Beaches. Someone there explained to us that our insurance should cover all or most of the cost of our son's rehab treatment! We just can't believe that the same boy that we sent to you for help is the same boy who came back! My husband has said to me several times that he thinks we should check to see if there might be an alien double or something that looks just like our son but acts and thinks in a completely different manner of behavior.
We don't know what you did or how you did it, but we are so very happy to have our old son who is completely clean & sober return back to us once again! On top of that, he is going back to school in the fall and he just got a part-time job too! He is not going to make a lot of money but at least he will be working and doing something productive with his time this summer instead of just partying with his friends all summer long.
Thanks for making his recovery possible!
Our young adult daughter lives with us and was recently diagnosed as having dual diagnosis earlier this year. We didn't know anyone who had dual diagnosis; my husband's side of the family has had a few people go to alcohol or drug rehab before in Florida. So we just looked up places that were in the Palm Beach county area and found several places that all claimed to treat dual diagnosis and chose which ever one was the cheapest (which I know wasn't the smartest way to pick a rehab but hindsight is always 20-20 as they say). I won't mention any names but we sent our daughter to 2 of them and each time she quickly relapsed back into her partying ways with her friends after she came home. Of course we weren't going to give up on our only daughter, so we then tried The Cottages of the Palm Beaches and we are just so grateful to have our daughter back and she seems to be fully and completely recovered! We are just so amazed! She has even stopped watching that TV show True Blood on HBO that all of her friends are obsessed with. My husband and I use to walk by when they were all watching it and felt it glorified and encouraged kids to use drugs.
Well anyway we are so grateful for all you've done for our daughter and just wanted to write and say thank you again!
My whole family is thrilled about my brother’s successful rehab treatment for his alcohol and cocaine abuse problems. Your affordable rehab treatment programs there at The Cottages of the Palm Beaches gave our family our first happy Easter in many years. Over Easter dinner he couldn’t stop talking about how grateful he is for finally receiving the help he needed and is truly motivated to try and lead a productive life again, clean and sober. We don’t know how you did it, but we are sending our deepest thank you for your incredible job at turning his life around and bringing back that wonderful man that we all once knew and always loved.
I didn't know what level of quality care to expect from an affordable addiction treatment facility. But I was very pleasantly surprised with the surroundings. I especially liked sitting by the large water fountain courtyard and thinking about the lessons earlier in the day that I learned. Over all it was a wonderful and very personal recovery experience. I like to thank the whole staff at The Cottages for helping me turn my life around and changing my perspective towards life for the better.
I had tried and failed at a couple different local affordable drug rehabs that my family paid for each time. I had told my parents I wanted to stay local and in state so I could be close to my family. But after my third attempt at my third different local rehab failed my parents told me that they were done paying for my rehab. They said that I wasn’t really trying or the local rehabs weren’t doing a good job. The truth was that both accusations were right, but still not the real reason for my failure at each local drug rehab. No, the real reason that I wanted to stay local was I could be close to my girlfriend, who was smuggling me in drugs each time I went to a local rehab. Eventually I overdosed and almost died and when I awoke I was in the hospital and my parents were standing at my bedside keeping vigil over me. They told me that they had talked and decided they would pay for me to go to rehab one more time. But this time they would pick the place and it would have to be an out of state drug rehab. They had researched online for affordable drug rehab centers and found a place in Florida called The Cottages. Through their online research they also had found out that by putting me back on their health insurance plan, their insurance would pay for my inpatient drug treatment at The Cottages.
I found The Cottages to be very therapeutic and very different from the other local rehabs I had attended back north. Their treatment techniques were different and their staff was very different too. I also got a lot more out of the individual and group therapy too. The other patients that I met there were very similar to me and I heard a lot of similar stories to mine. I learned a lot in the 30 days that I was at The Cottages. I think I grew a lot as a person and came to terms with myself and my addiction for the first time too. It is hard to sum up every aspect of my experience there since so much of it led to a spiritual and mental realization (I’m sure uniquely different for everyone there) that has transformed my whole thought process when it comes to drugs. I can say I definitely got the right treatment and at the right price too. The Cottages was a rehab that my family could afford to send me to, and because it was affordable I could stay long enough to finally get better.
